Our Germania Schützenfest on April 4 turned out to be a great success! Forty-two Schützen guests from Anaheim, Las Vegas, and Arizona attended the festivity. Ein Schütze kam sogar aus Deutschland.
Frieda Sonksen was introduced and crowned as our new Queen and Reinhard Meier as the Vice King. Both won their titles at the March shootout by pitting their shooting skills against all other contestants and a plywood bird.
Sigfried Boldt skillfully won the shoot out for the King of Kings. And congratulations to all other shooters who won prices and shooting titles during the past 12 months.
The Schützenfest on was attended by many Schützen, friends, and guests. The Bill Blythe Band played a lively tune and both the dinner and the service were outstanding.
The Schützenfest, as always, is the highlight of the year and it was again great fun this year. We thank all who were able to attend our activities. The Sunday King’s brunch was a great feast provided by our members and also enjoyed by us and our shooting guests.
